Saturday morning we returned to the Brazlik family to capture some of Amin’s therapy sessions as well as b-roll footage around the house. Amin was having a tough morning, but once his therapists got him going in the morning he was a-ok. In fact, we were able to get him outside on his bike with everyone in the Florida sun and he was happy as can be, even with it being so hot out that sweat would bead on your brow the minute you opened up the doors.
You can see all the b-roll we got around the house, and, like or other families, we wished we didn’t have to say goodbye. Tunde and her kids were incredibly gracious and loving, and we will miss them so much. Afterwards, we went to the local Masjed to talk with their Imam about special needs and Islam. The Iman told of a story where a man who was blind was given the right to lead prayers in the absence of Muhammed, and the special place those children hold in the world of Islam. It was incredibly enlightening, and sharing some of the watermelon after our interview gave us more insight into the best parts of the religion.
We closed up shop and left for Miami for a much deserved rest. It is the first day off for our crew since July 4th, and they deserve some time to themselves. We’ll be back on Monday for our next family here in Miami, and as you all know, we love you and can’t wait to hear from you soon!
